Being “green” is and has always been a critical issue within our company. Through adopting an Environment Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 certification, Assel has proved to position itself as an environmentally responsible company. Reduction of water, waste, energy or trash to landfills are just a few crucial examples of tangible benefits brought by the system. What is important for us, is that ISO 14001 is not a one-person or department operation. It takes everybody within the company to contribute. Employee involvement develops an enhanced awareness of the company’s impact on the environment and leads to a proactive attitude and an improved morale – allowing us to become more aware of what actions should be undertaken.

When it comes to recycling and discarding hazardous substances, we strictly follow the European Union regulations of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (roHS). We also adopted lean manufacturing (5S) standards that aim to reduce the use of electrical power, gas, water and chemicals and encourage continuous utilization.
